This project is a contemporary reimagining of a 1970s-style home – modest in scale, yet rich in detail.
The design features robust external concrete walls paired with expansive glazing, allowing an abundance of natural light to flood the interior. This transparency also creates a seamless connection to the rear entertaining and pool areas, enhancing the home’s openness.
At the heart of the home lies a central courtyard that introduces even more natural light deep into the interior. This space is anchored by a striking curved steel and timber staircase, serving as a sculptural focal point.
While the integration of these architectural elements presented unique challenges during construction, the close collaboration between architect, client, and builder ensured the vision was successfully brought to life. The result is a home defined by thoughtful craftsmanship and refined details – one that all involved are proud to have contributed to.
