Kirkoswald House
This project was a full knock down and rebuild. Whilst generally a straight forward build, there were some tricky aspects to the project, most notably the sloping site.
This required a cut and fill excavation into the sandstone rock and removal of all spoil. Along with this, we needed to complete the resolution of the façade batten screen, the crowning jewel on this project.
The screen was described as a ‘palm leaf’ draped over the building to provide protection. Given the relatively basic details we were provided with at the start, this required a large amount of time between all parties to further workshop, resulting in the beautifully detailed and finished screen you see here in the photos, the defining aspect to this project.
